Loughrigg, Day Three

Day three and I think I’m feeling more fit. I’m noticing less jelly leg syndrome when going down steep hills! Last night was eventful for a supposedly quiet campsite. A young couple were swearing, shouting and then finally physically fighting until 1.30am, when the police turned up….
Anyway I packed up and moved to my final site, Tarn Foot by Loughrigg (see other post for a review!). I walked over to Rydal Mount and up the ‘terracing’ right to Fairfield, descending my Grizdale Tarn to Grasmere and then back to the campsite. I was lucky with the weather. It only started raining once I’d got down to Grizdale Tarn and although I got back to the tent with wet EVERYTHING, I managed to get some really nice photos of the views before the mist came down. From Fairfield I was able to see where I had come down from Helvellyn last September. It was so foggy then I couldn’t see my hand infront of my face so to see the path and tarn I’d past was interesting!
Great walk and interesting views. The more I walk the more I appreciate the fells and how they connect up.
